Field experiments were conducted at Agricultural Research Station (TNAU), Kovilpatti during 1991–93 rabi season to find out the effect of biological control of weeds through intercropping in chilli. The result indicated that the intercropping, of coriander in chilli effectively checked the weeds recording lower weed density and, weed DMP than chilli+onion system. The effect was more pronounced on 40 DAS as the, intercrop canopy spreading was higher at that stage.
