Performance of Atrazine as Tank Mix with Isoproturon and Diclofop for Weed Control in Wheat

An experimentto study the efficiency of tank mixture of isoprowron+atrazine ordiclofop+ atrazine against Phaluris minor (Retz.) in wheat was condllcted in 1994–95 and 1995–96 at CCSHAU Regional Research Station, Karnal. It was found that performance of diclofop at 880 g/ha or diclofop+atrazine 850+30g/ha was similar to 1soproturon 1000 g/ha but superior to atrazine alone during both the years. Atrazine applied alone at 50–100 g/ha resulted in poor weed control and severe crop toxicity. There was no additional advantage of tank mixing of atrazine with isoproturon against this weed.
