Laboratory experiment revealed that littleseed canary grass (Phalaris minor) was capable of germinating in the temperature range of 10 to 25°C and optimum was 10 to 20°C. At the end of incubation period, maximum germination was recorded at a constant temperature of 15°C. From the mean weekly temperature during rabi season, it was found that November to February were most congenial for its emergence and because of suitable temperature in the growing season. it emerged in several flushes.
