Abstract

Application of pendimethalin and trifluralin at 1000 g ha−1 and pyrithiobac at 100 g ha−1 reduced the population and dry weight of weeds significantly over weedy check. Fluazifop-butyl was only effective against barnyard grass, while pyrithiobac controlled carpet weed. One hoeing at 45 DAS fb acetochlor at 1500 g ha−1 was most effective in controlling both the weeds and gave significantly higher seed cotton yield than weedy check. The next best treatment was pyrithiobac+fluazifop-butyl at 100+500 g ha−1 when applied as post-emergence.
