Abstract

Bioefficacy of various doses of trifluralin was compared with hand weeding, fluchloralin and pendimethalin in groundnut at Burdwan district, West Bengal, India. Trifluralin at 1080 g ha−1 and pendimethalin at 1125 g ha−1 were equally effective in reducing weed density and weed dry weight. Pendimethalin at 1125 g ha−1 and trifluralinat 1080 g ha−1 had the best and at par effect followed by hand weeding twice (20 and 40 DAS) on pods/plant, kernel test weight and pod yield of groundnut.
