Field experiment conducted during winter seasons of 1996–97 and 1997–98 revealed that clodinafop-propargyl at 60, fenoxaprop-P-ethyl at 100 and tralkoxydim at 300 g ha−1 I and their lower doses with 0.1 and 0.5% surfactant provided effective control of Avenaludoviciana and Phalaris minor. Similarly, chlorsulfuron at 30 g alone or with surfactant at 20 g+0.1% or 20 g+0.5% provided excellent control of Chenopodium album, Rumex retroflexus, Anagallis arvensis and Coronopus didymus. Herbicide treatments gave significantly better yield than unweeded check, but less than weed-free during both the seasons.
