Abstract

Tillage practice like rotavator twice recorded significantly lower weed population and weed dry-biomass, increased grain yield, higher NPK uptake by crop and lower depletion of these nutrients by weeds than fanner's practice and zero tillage. Mixture of isoproturon and 2, 4-D and isoproturon alone recorded significantly lower weed population than hand weeding but minimum weed dry-biomass, nutrients removal by weeds, higher grain yield and maximum nutrients uptake by the crop were recorded in hand weeding.
