Abstract

Pre-emergence application of pendimethalin at 1.0–1.5 kg ha−1 or pre-plant incorporation of fluchloralin at 1.0 kgha−1 or pre-emergence application of alachlor (G) at 2.0 kg ha−1 had weed control efficiency of 73.7, 66.3 and 62.8, respectively. Maximum B: Cover farmers' practice of two manual hoeings was realized with pre-emergence application of pendimethalin at 1.0 kg ha−1] (+17.74) closely followed by pendimethalin at 1.5 kg ha−1 (+17.54), pre-plant incorporation of fluchloralin at 1.0 kg ha−1 (+ 17.07) and pre-emergence application of alachlor (G) at 2.0 kg ha−1 (+14.18).
