Abstract

Weed control efficiency of butachlor at 2.0 and 1.0 kg ha−1 was 80.7 and 75.6%, respectively. Green fodder and dry matter yields of berseem increased significantly with butachlor. The highest green fodder and dry matter yields were obtained with butachlor at 2.0 kg ha−1. Trifluralin at 0.6 and 1.2 kg ha−1 had toxic effects on berseem which resulted in poor crop yield. Crude protein content of berseem was improved due to weed control over weedy check.
