Efficacy of trifluralin, oxadiazon each at 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 kg ha−1 as pre-emergence, glyphosate and 2, 4-D each at 0.5 kg ha−1 applied 30 DAS and each at 1.0 kg ha−1 applied 30 and 45 DAS was evaluated on Oxalis tatifalia in pots under glass-house condition. Trifluralin at all doses and oxadiazon at 1.5 kg ha−1 inhibited the formation of bulbils upto 60 days stage. Glyphosate at 0.5 or 1.0 kg ha−1 applied 30 DAS completely killed the foliage and there was no formation of any leaf, inflorescence and bulbils till 60 days stage, whereas glyphosate at 1.0 kg ha−1 applied 45 DAS checked the formation of bulbils upto 105 days stage. Glyphosate at 1.0 kg ha−1 applied 45 DAS proved most effective in controlling the growth and development of O. tatifalia. Higher doses of all the herbicides were more effective than lower doses in reducing growth and development of O. tatifalia.
