Growth Response ofEchinochloa crusgalli in Association with Rice Genotypes
Abstract
A study of the growth response of Echinochloa crusgalli in association with rice genotypes revealed variability amongst rice accessions in suppressing weed growth. Gain in plant height, leaf area and total biomass accumulation by the weed was the least in association with HKR-46, HKR-126 and DRRH-1 in pot trials. Suppression of weed emergence under field conditions could be seen in association with DRRH-1 and HKR-1002 too.
