Abstract

The study was conducted in rural areas of Hisar district of Haryana. A sample of 120 children of primary and middle grade from four schools of two villages namely; Bhojraj and Dahima were taken for the present study to find out the role of parents and impact of media for promoting environmental awareness among young children. Questionnaire cum interview schedule was prepared and used to get required information. Parental knowledge and awareness of the respondents regarding environmental pollution was found to be highly significant. There was no significant influence of media on the awareness of the children regarding environmental pollution.
