The teaching through the developed educational CD-ROM as selected “Methods of Teaching Home Science ” was more effective in terms of gain in knowledge amongst the respondents when compared to teaching through the traditional method of teaching i.e. lecture method Disseminating knowledge through such a medium proves to be highly beneficial and effective when new concepts or abstract ideas have to be taught. Moreover, this medium exhibits a subtle advantage over other methods whenever an attitudinal change in the learners is aimed at.
