A study was conducted to assess the training needs of information technology among doctoral students of veterinary sciences with the objectives of assessing their knowledge level regarding various information technologies and to find out the gap to assess their training needs. And the study revealed that most of the students had good experience in computer technologies and half of them had computers with accessories. Cent percent students had knowledge in operating computer and internet explorer and re utilizing the.offline retrieval systems also very well. The students revealed the desire for training in areas Of Excel, Access, Multimedia, graphic Development and Electronic Research. They need the training during their course work in the same institution where they are studying and in free mode.
