Abstract

The present study has highlighted the existing scenario regarding student ‘ access, purpose and the pattern of internet use in a premier State Agriculture University-which has been awarded "Best Agriculture Institution Award" by the ICAR twice in a span of 10 years (1997 and 2005). However, the picture regarding the ICT infrastructure and its usage is not quite satisfactory. This may be due to several reasons for this situation-the lack of proper ICT infrastructure, poor perceptions of ICT potential among the academic staff and lack of motivation on part of teachers.
