Content Analysis of Marathi Newspaper Agrowon

Content analysis of Agrowon Newspaper, the first paper which is completely devoted to the Agriculture was undertaken. Out of 365 Newspapers published every third paper was selected for the present study thus making the total of 122 Newspaper issues The findings indicate that agricultural information had more coverage followed by horticultural and nonagricultural information while in advertisements, non-agricultural advertisements dominated rest of two. In Agricultural information two third articles where related to other horticultural articles. With regards to articles published on horticultural information it was observed that the articles on fruit crops occupied more space followed by articles on vegetables.
