The study was conducted to assess the mass media exposure and information needs of rural youths of KVKs who had undergone training in KVK, NDRI. Karnal Haryana and KVK, IVRI, Bareilly, U.P. The findings of the study revealed that majority of the rural youths from both the KVKs had medium level of mass media exposuere. Further, majority of rural youths from both the KVKs expressed desire for information needs in the areas of pregnancy diagnosis, right time of Artificial Insemination (A.I.), identification of heat symptoms, and colostrums feeding. In the area of animal breeding & feeding however, majority of rural youths had asked for information related to vaccination against contagious diseases followed by treatment and cure of animal in health-care and management. On the other hand maximum number of them were interested to have an information pertaining to silage and hay making as well as marketing of milk.
