Activities for language development in Pre-School of Haryana and Chandigarh

Abstract

Language is a part of every action and function. A study was conducted on 58 schools (29 from Hisar Distt. Of Haryana and 29 schools from union territory Chandigarh) have pre-schools, to investigate the status of activities conducted for language development in pre-school of Haryana and Chandigarh. The results showed that not much difference were found in all aspects of language domain in pre schools of both places. The area wise distribution of data reveled that majority of urban government schools, private schools and, preschool laboratory of Hisar and Chandigarh were providing opportunities for language. The observation based information reflected that very few teachers of rural and peri urban schools take interest in conducting activities for language Development, it may be concluded that young human resources are over burdened rather developing properly in a normal environment.
