This study was conducted during 2006–07 by opting ex-post facto research design focused on adequacy of communicational/infrastructural facilities and technology dissemination modes opted by Agricultural Technology Information Centres (ATIC) for technology transfer and to communicate the stakeholders/farmers on their technological needs. The study found that almost every ATIC is lacking with Internet, video conferencing and kiosk facilities of communication. The ATIC managers of these centers opined that lack of infrastructure is one of the major problems in effective functioning of ATICs. The study also shows that around 1.4 lakh (137680) farmers were visited personally to get the first hand information directly from the ATIC scientists. The pulled data of this study revealed that total 1, 60, 044 farmers were communicated on their technological needs on field crops, horticultural crops, fisheries and veterinary by the ATICs during the period of seven years (1999–2005).
