Impact of ICT on school students was carried out in a leading school in Bangalore (India). The school has been a front runner in terms of use of technology and its accessibility. The school is chosen so as to get the better understanding of the impact of ICT compared to other schools which lacked the infrastructures and the technical manpower. The overall purpose of this study has been to explore the overall impact of use of ICT related activities on students. The method selected involved asking key participants about the impact of ICT on learning and behaviour of students, teachers, curriculum, school environment and learning environment, based on what they have experienced.
This study has revealed that there is a positive impact of ICT on seven identified components. The study shows that all components of educational system viz. students, parents, teachers and administrators, perceive information and communication technology as a useful and friendly tool which has a positive impact on students and education system.
