The present investigation has been carried out to study the impact of RHWE(Rural Home Work Experience) programe conducted as a part of course curriculum by college of Home Science, CCS HAU Hisar. Twenty three Students of B. Sc. Home Science (Hons) 4th year programe were placed in village Kharar of Hisar district of Haryana state.. The study was carried out on 57 respondents from different families The existing knowledge of women about care during pregnancy and delivery, postnatal care, common problems during pregnancy, diet of child, identification of child with special need, early childhood care and education, adolescents stage, population explosion and family, environment and personal hygiene, common childhood illness, income generating activities are recorded through selfprepared and standardized interview schedule. Pre testing for assessment of existing knowledge of women was done. Then two-month programmme was imparted through lectures, demonstration and discussion by home science final year students. After that the impact of programme was assessed through post testing of the respondents for increment of their knowledge about above-mentioned areas. Collected data was analysed to find out the difference between pre and post testing data by using ‘T'test. Result depicted that there was significant improvement in knowledge. Their knowledge was increased maximum for component of care during pregnancy followed by early childhood care and education and then income generating activities.
