A website (alternatively, web site) is a collection of Web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that is hosted on one or several Web server(s), usually accessible via the Internet, cell phone or a Local Area Network (LAN). A Web page is a document, typically written in Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) that is almost always accessible via a protocol that transfers information from the web server to display in the user's Web browser. This case study used the instrument to evaluate online resources in all the State Agricultural Universities within India, plus the allied Universities of Veterinary Sciences. This evaluation study indicates that the higher percentage of Agricultural Universities websites have good information regarding the organizational structure with online application and admission, though only a few universities have a quality information. On an average, the websites of agricultural universities of India were found to be offering at least recent scientific information in the form of online publication, abstracts, research activities, news and views and online discussion and feedback in webpage development.
