Abstract

Rural kiosks are very important for rural areas. It provides a variety of services such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, electricity bill collection, land records, email services, and consulting on medical and agricultural problems. Fundamental the operation of a kiosk's is based on connection to the Internet through dial-up. But today mobile phone revolution gives a new dimension to word. This paper presents the importance and architecture of mobile based kiosk for rural connectivity and communication.
