Abstract

Youth opined that the influence of globalized media on their consumption pattern with respect to three different aspects namely food habits, dressing sense and living pattern may be because of the commercialization of culture. Further, It might also be that globalized media has influenced the consumer culture among the youth that is in food habits, dressing sense and living pattern which has been transmitted through various forms of information and entertainment technologies (such as TV and Films). This is because new media has become more international in shaping the youth. Today media is a powerful influential source for an individual, no matter which status he belongs. This may be the desire of compressing what all is shown in media. Therefore, with respect to living pattern, youth has been more influenced by globalized media.
