Abstract

It is found that, majority of the Cotton growers were middle aged, educated, belonged to medium size of family and nuclear type of family. They are having medium social participation, medium size of land holding, medium annual income, medium sources of information used and medium level of motivation and aspiration.

Majority of the Cotton growers used Television, Radio and Newspaper for the acquisition of information related to agriculture. Therefore extension agencies need to concentrate on these three media which was preferred by the Cotton growers to disseminate the information to them.
