Communication is one of the essential ingredient in the development of the socio-economic condition of the country. It is fact and nobody can deny that society is made up of men and women. Women gave the birth to boys and girls i.e. if the women are healthy and literate then a healthy nation can be developed. The present study deals with the pregnant women of Shubham Nursing Home of Mahmoorganj, Varanasi district. About 150 pregnant women were asked that what is the role of communication in their pregnancy period. Then 96.66% told that television plays very important role because with the help of cinema they had come to know that how much calcium, protein, vitamins, iron etc. are important for them and their child's health. Only 18% i.e. 27 women gets information from the internet as other women's are still not familiar to the computer and internet.
