Abstract

Extension communications methods provide environment which learner can see, hear and do the things he learnt, and also provide stimulation that causes the desirable mental and/or physical action. Women play a crucial role in agricultural development and there is hardly any agricultural activity, in which women are not actively involved (Kumar and Singh. 2002). The present study conducted in Maharashtra on a sample of 200 farm women and exposed them to communication methods viz. video cassette, audio cassette, folder, video cassette+folder and audio cassette+folder. The study revealed that knowledge gain and retention about pomegranate processing technology is significantly influenced by education, family size, family type, extension contact, participation, mass media exposure, achievement motivation and scientific orientation of farm women.
