The paper discusses about group approach as an effective way of transferring of technology in horticultural crops. Group approach can result in faster and efficient way of dissemination of technology. The process was put into service in 4 villages of two districts. The farmers in groups were involved in analyzing their present cropping pattern and the improvements possible. Based on the group discussion new cropping pattern was formulated and implemented by farmers. The yields and net returns as a result of the alternative cropping strategy have shown that net returns can be increased by farmers by changing the cropping pattern with inputs from farmers and researchers.
