Stratified random sampling with Proportionate allocation was used for selection of the respondents from the selected villages.. Thus nearly 48, 29, 36 and 37 vegetable growers were selected from Toubul mamangleikai, Khoijuman and kwasiphai villages respectively. Finally a sample of 150 households (8% of the total population) was selected for the study purpose. The results of the investigation revealed that variables like education, annual average income, socio-economic status, cropping intensity and operational land holding were significantly correlated with extent of entrepreneurial behaviour. Further, on regression analysis, it was found that the variables education, annual average income and socioeconomic status had significant influence over extent of entrepreneurial behaviour and, therefore were important predictors for any variation in extent of entrepreneurial behaviour.
