Abstract

The impact of training programs of KVK, Visakhapatnam reveals that Majority of trained and untrained respondents of Rianfed farmers and Irrigated farmers were having education upto Primary level. There is low level of social participation. In case of Rainfed farmers and there is significant difference between trained and untrained respondents with regard to Social participation in case of Irrigated farmers. Majority of trained and untrained respondents were having medium level Extension contact. There was no significant difference between trained and untrained respondents regarding level of extension contact. Majority of respondents (trained and untrained) in Rainfed farmers (45–50%) and Irrigated farmers (5560%) were having medium level of economic motivation. Only 20% of untrained respondents were having high economic motivation. The mass media exposure with regard to trained respondents of Irrigated farmers was high compared to untrained farmers. The trained respondents of Irrigated farmers had higher knowledge in Paddy and Bhendi crops in comparison to untrained respondents. The gain in knowledge about Bhendi crop was higher than Paddy crop. The knowledge level between trained and untrained respondents was found significantly different in Rainfed farmers.
