Economic empowerment of tribal women through jewelry making

Abstract

Majority of the respondents were interested in: Jewelry making 75%, where as 12.5% interested in Sewing and same percentage of the respondents were interested in Candle making as well as Jute bag making.

Most of the respondents felt that place, cleanliness, ventilation and seating arrangement were suitable to a great extent. Whereas regarding the time of the training programme it was reported that it was suitable to some extent by (95.83%) of the respondents.

Majority of the women who participated in the project of Jewelry and Hair Broach making were of the age between 20–30 years (45.83percent), and 25percent women were of the age between 30–40 years.

Most of the respondents were uneducated (58.33percent). Whereas 37.5percent of the respondents were educated below 10th std.
