Adolescence, the second decade of life, is a powerful formative period of transition from childhood to adulthood which encompasses deep emotional changes. Adolescence is also period of experimentation, which exposes the youth to health risks, through drugs, alcohol, tobacco use, irresponsible sexual behaviors The concern for reproductive and sexual health of adolescents has particularly grown because of real and perceived increase in their sexual activities, and associated vulnerability to HIV infection. The urban extension team of department of Extension and communication, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda had an opportunity of introducing reproductive health education as a component of the course-i.e. Workshop in Adult Education. Under this course several topics like consumer education, social issues, computer literary etc are covered every year involving third years students of the department. However, this year reproductive Health education was taken The reproductive programme emphasized on following topics like contraceptives, pregnancy and lactation phase, menstruation cycle diet during pregnancy etc. The program was concerned using illustrated talk, educational games, power point animated slides were used to clarify their doubts. The different teaching aids like charts, posters, flash cards, specimen, etc were use to give them first hand experience. It was observed that students actively participated in all the educational games very enthusiastically which became a learning experience for them and their peers. This study reveals that if difficult subject like reproductive health education taught using different teaching learning methods and materials makes learning easy and have long lasting effects on the minds of adolescent girls. Especially they were more attracted towards animated slides because their confusion was cleared using slides which was a combination of visual and written material.
