India is primarily the land of agriculture and the tribal people being the original inhabitants of this land are not only closely related to agriculture, but they depend almost totally on cultivation.[3] This study was conducted to analyze the agricultural information sources of tribal farmers of Uttar Pradesh in 2010. A sample of 150 respondents was selected randomly from 30 tribal villages of block Palia of district Lakhimpur Khiri and data were collected from them using semi-structured interview schedule. The collected data were analyses with percentage statistical tool with rank. The result indicated that the tribal farmers received agricultural information primarily from personal cosmopolite sources like block officials, personal localite sources like input dealers, local leaders, progressive farmers and mass media sources like radio broadcast some time news paper. With regard to information confirmation, they discussed mainly with their family members, village farmers and tribal leaders (Mukhiya) and then take final decision. Majority of farmers disseminated the agricultural information to family, villagers, and friend.
