Abstract

Rapid changes in the mode of communication of the country are posing multiple challenges to the extension functionaries. Present extension system is already under pressure due to wide ratio between the extension worker and clientele i.e. I: 1000. The present investigation was carried out in West siang District of Arunachal Pradesh State. Data were collected from eighty rural young girls of the age of 1624 years employing face-to-face interview technique. Findings revealed that most of the rural girls were interested to view and listening the media advertisements. High percentage of them were satisfied with the advertisements and showed high willingness to apply the knowledge they acquired through advertisements in their day-to-day life. It is recommended that advertisements should cover contents of agriculture, animal husbandry and health related issues in the better presentable form to attract and educate the teenagers.
