Abstract

The Earth's climate has changed many times during the planet's history, with events ranging from ice ages to long periods of warmth. Historically, natural factors such as volcanic eruptions, changes in the Earth's orbit, and the amount of energy released from the Sun have affected the Earth's climate. But today human industrialization is also a big factor of environmental changes. Positively, like other technologies Information and communication technologies have created great economic and social benefits, but negatively, also increased energy consumption. According to, Enterprise Business General Manager Mike Andrews, worldwide Information and Communication Technologies generate an estimated more than one billion tons of carbon per year, and ICT energy efficiency could make a difference.
