Abstract

The paper is based on the role of Ramkrishna Mission (RKM) for the development of tribal farmers in Chhattisgarh state. While conducting this study 220 farmers were selected from the adopted villages and data were collected for systematic analysis. Here the paper tries to find out the use of communication and information patterns for the development of the tribals. From this study, it has been seen that there has been increased 37.64% in public transport system and significant increasing use of different communication channel except radio. As for as the extension contact concerns, it was seen that the frequency of RKM to reach to the tribals is 31.57% followed by rural agriculture extension officer 14.28% and senior agriculture development officer is about 13.13%.
