Abstract

Film is an art, a science, a popular, perhaps the most popular pastime for the majority of the people. India is the world's largest producer of films. Films are seen and appreciated by the vast mass of Indian movie goers. a survey was carried out to collect the opinions of the youth (20–35) regarding the influence of contemporary films on them. The main objectives of the survey were to find out the opinions of the youth regarding the contemporary films, to study the opinions of the youth regarding the influence of contemporary films on them and to find out the opinions of the youth regarding the concepts for the upcoming films. Thirty youth were randomly selected as a sample and questionnaire was prepared for the collection of data and these films have supported very well for the women empowerment, need of youth in politics, roles and responsibilities of youth towards the society as a citizens. There was high influence of film on society.
