Abstract

If any most important factor is necessary for the development of individual, society, and nation, it is the information. Today, new and latest information is needed for the continuous development of the individual. Similarly for the good running of the society, farming community and nation. Appropriate information sources have also play a vital role in boasting the agriculture production with sustainability. The present study was conducted to assess the acceptability of information sources used by the credit users of Amaniganj block of Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh. There are nine community development blocks in the district. The Amaniganj block selected purposively, out of 109 villages five selected randomly, thereafter 120 farmers were selected through proportionate random sampling technique. The study revealed that the major sources of information were gram pradhan, family member and radio under formal, informal and mass media sources respectively.
