Television holds an important place in our lives. Its impact is being seen amongst all sections and groups of the society. In India TV industry has a remarkable history. It has grown from terrestrial television to today's satellite broadcasting or digital television. Today, there are 9.5 million DTH homes. More number of families are shifting their TV connection from cable to digital TV. The purpose behind undertaking this study was to find out the reasons for the shift, the gains they achieved by shifting, the changes occurred in viewing after the shift, the problems faced while utilizing DTH. A structured questionnaire was developed to collect the data.
