Interpersonal communication process in social life of rural women

Abstract

The study was conducted in five village of Chiraigaon CD block of Varanasi district. From each village fifty women were randomly selected, thus the study was conducted to 250 rural women as respondents. Data was collected with the help of structured interview schedule. The mostly rural women opined the ineffective interpersonal communication process essential their daily routine and part of life. Its process benefited their social life and sometimes creates implication for them. Forfeiture of vital news, women's wrong perception of themselves, absence of cohesion and internal strength of women, growth of humour/gossip, hatred among women, caste and class differences as well as women's misunderstanding of themselves were amongst others, the negative implication of ineffective interpersonal communication. Rural women gave apart in this process to betterment of their life, solving problem, getting \yell and useful information, transfer their thoughts, get experience and well adjustment of situation. It can be concluded that the majority of rural women were interact with each other to become a part of social life and personal growth because its most essential a human being and development.
