Abstract

The present study was conducted to study personal and socio-economic profile of the vegetable growers and to examine the various sources of information being used by the women vegetable growers in Araziline and Chiraigaon blocks of Varanasi district. From each block five villages were selected purposively. From each village 10 percent of the households were selected randomly. Statistical analyses were done using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS programme). Descriptive statistics including mean, standard deviation and percentage frequency were used for describing background characteristics of the study group.
