The present study was undertaken in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya to know the communication behaviour of potato growers as well as to ascertain the correlates associated with their communication behaviour. A sample of 125 respondents (potato growers) from five villages were selected using multistage random sampling method. The study revealed that majority of the respondents (80.8%) were belonging to the middle aged group and more than 57.6% of the potato growers were female. In the study area 62.4% respondents had ‘medium ’category of socio-economic status. In case of Use of Information Sources, Mass Media Exposure, Extension contact, Risk Preference and, Innovation Proneness, majority of the potato growers were in the medium category. The education, extension contact, mass media exposure, sources of information, innovation proneness had positive and significant correlation with communication behavior of the potato growers.
