Evaluation of usability features of pantvarsity website from user's perspective

The present study is an attempt to know the opinion about the usability of website of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, by its main user groups viz. students, academicians and farmers. The results on internet usage pattern of respondents showed that academicians (83%) and students (53%) were using internet for more than four years and were using it daily, though farmers were also using internet but not as often as the other two kinds of users. Academicians and students were accessing internet at college/work place for the purpose of research and education, while farmers were accessing at cyber café for communication purpose. The evaluation of the usability criteria of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar website indicated that the website was rated as ‘Good ’by the respondents.
