Some "experts" have said that young people are missing out on crucial benefits of physical proximity because of their enthusiasm for virtual social worlds, forgetting, perhaps, that they also spend several hours a day crammed into classrooms together. They are compromising their attention spans by spending so much time on social networking sites such as Twitter, Face book etc.
Many teenagers do begin to spend regular time on SNS, sending chat messages to one another. Connecting with friends, creating and sharing photos and videos and playing games on these sites have all become important parts of their lives. Therefore it becomes essential to make sure that teens aware about the security measures available on Social Networking Sites, they must uses privacy controls because everything he says about himself in pictures or words will be available for the entire world to see. And people do see these pages-strangers, college admissions officers, even potential employers. Kids are savvy enough to post things, but not always mature enough to understand the consequences of doing it. The major findings of the study revels that teens are aware about the security implication available on SNS and they are using it for avoiding any misuse of their personal information.
