This study was conducted with specific objective to understand the different communication behaviour of agricultural information used by the village Panchayat leader in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. It was confined in purposively selected two blocks i.e. Rajnandgaon and Khairagarh of the district on the basis of stratified random sampling. From each block 78 village leader were randomly selected hence a total 156 village leader were interviewed personally. Both questionnaires and personal interviews were performed for data collection. The majority of village panchayat leaders (68.59%) had medium level of extension contact. Where as maximum number (44.87%) of the village panchayat leaders made contact with Panchayat Secretary every fortnight, the maximum (48.08%) respondents had monthly contact with R.A.E. Os., most of the respondents (41.03%) had monthly contact with patwari, half of the village panchayat leaders (50.00%) had yearly contact with Multipurpose Medical Worker (MPW), most (33.97%) of the village panchayat leaders had yearly contact with Panchayat Inspector, the majority (64.74%) of village panchayat leaders had no contact with subject matter specialist, with regards to Agriculture Scientist the maximum (44.23%) village panchayat leaders had contact with them once in a year, most (37.82%) of the village panchayat leaders meet the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) once in a year, and the highest number of the village panchayat leaders (76.28%) had medium level of Cosmopoliteness.
