Abstract

Radio is the older of the two main forms of electronic media, the other being television. Radio in commercial broadcast form has been around since about l920. This study was conducted to analyze the Mass Media Exposer of tribal farmers of Uttar Pradesh in 2010. A sample of 150 respondents was selected through Probability Proportionate Sampling (PPS) from 30 tribal villages of block Palia of district Lakhimpur Khiri and data were collected from them using semi-structured interview schedule. The collected data were analyses with percentage statistical tool with rank. The result indicated that the tribal farmers received agricultural information primarily from mass media sources like radio broadcast some time from news paper. Radio was found the best sources of agricultural information and entertainment even today.
