Communicating for enhancing the yield of soybean through front line demonstration

Front line demonstration on soybean were conducted by krishi vigyan Kendra, Sagar (M.P) with an aim of enhancing the production the potential of soybean crop, during the period from 2007–2008; 2008–2009 and 2009–10 in five villages viz., Badaua, Semadhana, Kanheragond, nankyai and Rajjaua of jaisinagar. The component demonstration of front line technology in soybean i.e. Rhizobium and PSB culture @ 5g/kg of seed as seed treatment were taken. The total 14.8 hectares area was covered in three consecutive years. These demonstration were conducted at farmers field with local check plot for comparative study. It was found from the study that front line demonstration was effective in changing attitude, skill and knowledge of latest production technology viz.., HYN, Seed treatment with fungicide and biofertilizer, balance dose of fertilizer on soil test basis with sulphur, timely sowing and insect-pest and disease management of soybean including adoption.
