Abstract

The present study was carried out during 2010–2011 in four selected blocks of Surguja district. A total of 160 tribal farmers (40×4= 160) were selected randomly as respondents. The present study aims to determine the communicational behaviour of the tribal farmers for the hybrid rice production. The data were collected through personal interview method with the help of well structured and pre-tested interview schedule. The study showed that the majority (50.00%) of the respondents made contact with Rural Agricultural Extension Officer (RAEOs) regularly. 56.87 per cent of the respondents had medium contact with extension personnel. Majority of the respondents (63.12%) had medium level of exposure to various sources of information for getting the information about hybrid rice production technology.
