The study was conducted in the state of Karnataka with 320 vegetable growers as respondents to identify the role of socio-economic, psychological and communication characteristics on the adoption of IPM practices. The study concluded that with the increased level of education, social participation, land holding, annual income, risk orientation, economic motivation, attitude towards IPM, information seeking behaviour, mass media contact, the adoption level of IPM among vegetable growers increase. It was also found that education level, social participation and IPM knowledge, significantly influences the adoption of IPM technologies among vegetable growers.
