Verbal communication cares tribal health

Study was conducted to analyze the traditional human health practices disseminated through verbal communication among tribal farmers of Uttar Pradesh in 2010. A sample of 150 respondents was taken randomly from 30 tribal villages of block Palia of district Lakhimpur Khiri and data were collected from them using semi-structured interview schedule. The result indicated around 14 traditional practices to treat 8 major health problems of Tharu tribe in UP, India. Majority of farmers disseminated the traditional human health practices verbally to their family, villagers, friends and relatives.
